Thesis Title: Mapping Morphological Reduplication in Nepal: Spatial Analysis of a Grammatical Feature

Min-Joo Kim

About

I am a Master's student in Interdisciplinary Studies: Linguistic Geography at Texas Tech University.  I am interested in spatial modeling of language evolution and the spatial distribution and diffusion processes of grammatical structures.  My thesis is centered around developing a GIS to spatially analyze and visualize the distribution of morphological reduplication in Nepal.  I hope to begin a PhD program in Fall 2011.
Any and all advice, suggestions, and comments regarding linguistic cartography or reduplication typology would be especially appreciated!
