About
Francesca di Poppa (the one on the right) is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Texas Tech University. She has a PhD in history and philosophy of science from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Magna Cum Laude degree in philosophy from the University of Pisa (Italy). Her main area of interest is early modern philosophy, in particular causation in Descartes and Spinoza. Related interests include free will and miracles. She is currently working on a paper on Descartes' discussion of free will and one on Hobbes' discussion of miracles. She taught history of philosophy and science, bioethics, history of aesthetics and introduction to philosophy and critical thinking.
